Kansas Code Plans LLC is owned by David Stauth AIA, a licensed architect who has worked on all kinds of projects all over the country and in Kansas. The first 12 years of my career were with an architectural firm where I discovered code plan projects. I then worked for Wichita State University for nearly 7 years as an on staff architect and project manager. It was at WSU that I opened my side business providing affordable code plans to a specific audience. Over time my business grew and word spread about how I could help people, and at a price the average person and small business could afford, and so in August of 2025 I left WSU to go full time on Kansas Code Plans.
Kansas Code Plans is a small one-man architectural firm that focuses on small remodels and producing Code Plans (also called Code Footprints) as required to have on file with the City and State Fire Marshal's offices. I am located in Wichita, but I am not limited to Wichita, I work all over the state and even have a trained partner in the Kansas City Area for measuring services. Using technology, we can obtain a plan of any building, anywhere, easily and at low cost, so don't let location deter you. We are licensed in 6 states, and have grown to also do projects in Arizona, Texas, Missouri, Colorado, and Oklahoma.
